Accutrace is owned and operated by experienced caring professionals committed to meeting your needs. We have been screening and credentialing professionals since 1989. We started screening and qualifying professionals in the highly intricate requirements of the healthcare field. This remains an area of specialty for the firm today.
We are large enough to access the best data - using the latest technology - yet we are small enough to offer personalized service to each customer. Management focus is to maintain and ensure a consistently high level of service.
Scott McAndrews / Executive Vice President
Scott has more than 20 years of experience in the credentialing, background screening and investigation field. He spent those years building an operation focused on delivering top-notch service to its clients, small, large, single location employers or multi-location nationwide employers. In his current role he supervises the operations and administrative functions within Accutrace. These areas cover service delivery, customer service, human resources, legal, quality assurance and information technology. Scott remains a strong client advocate challenging his team to focus on speed, data accuracy, ease-of-use and cost effectiveness.
Scott built a network of systems giving Accutrace direct access to criminal history and arrest records with various state police agencies nationwide. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and received his C.P.A. from the State of Maryland. As executive vice president, he developed the financial; accounting; corporate reporting and IT infrastructure that drives the firm.
Sandra Burns / National Director of Sales
Accomplished in business development, operations and compliance, Sandra has more than 17 years of expertise in the background screening industry. Her vast experience includes working with some of the industry's largest providers and was a founding member and lead steering committee director of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners.
A recognized strategic leader in the industry, Sandra's experience includes leading process improvement initiatives resulting in maximized resources, enhanced processes, reduced costs and increased productivity. She is accomplished in business development, continuous improvement solutions, account management/customer service management, operational management, human resources, relationship building, quality control measures, regulatory and corporate compliance, cross-functional collaboration, ISO 9001:2000, quality assurance analysis and legal research.
Paul Smith / Director of Information Technology
Paul brings more than 20 years of innovative technological vision to his work in the background screening field. His extensive experience includes management and leadership in the areas of customer “help desk” support, network design, software implementation, process automation, integrations and system operations.
Paul’s knowledge of new technological advancements has propelled Accutrace to the forefront of the industry. He manages a team of programmers and custom report developers and oversees all I.T. infrastructure areas. Paul’s team of I.T. specialists ensures Accutrace’s state-of-the-art system is running at peak performance. Paul is directly responsible for the technical needs of every Accutrace client. He is responsible for providing a secure website and connection, sever and database configuration, physical security of our server and obtaining and renewing independent security certifications and audits.
Cathy Arnot / Operations Manager
Cathy brings several years of experience in the credentialing, screening and staffing industry to Accutrace where she serves as operations manager. Her proven expertise in compliance and quality is routinely recognized by the clients she supports. Cathy has extensive experience in all operational aspects of the background screening industry including, research, data collection, risk mitigation, quality assurance, FCRA and related compliance requirements.
Before joining Accutrace in 2006, she was responsible for the entire pre-employment screening process, including pertinent credentialing, for applicants as an account executive for a national staffing firm.
As operations manager, Cathy deals with every Accutrace client to provide initial and on-going training and manage any issues or concerns. She manages all daily operations and the Accutrace team of researchers. Cathy holds a safe hiring certification and is the official Accutrace designate for compliance and jurisdictional knowledge and provides all clients with necessary and timely updates on those issues and the direct effect they have on the client's background screening and credentialing needs. Cathy also serves as the team leader for the Accutrace designated Quality Assurance (QA) team, which randomly runs a designated number of searches and reports.
Cathy built Accutrace’s operational compliance and guidelines for several of the firm’s specialty verticals including healthcare, federal government and military credentialing.
